every time a bell rings...

hi kids.  it's been awhile, i know.  i told you i'm bad at journalling!  anyway, the title of this post is supposed to remind you of 'it's a wonderful life' -- every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.  well, the saying at my house should go something like, "every time a string of lights blows out...." and i'm not sure happens, though, when the lights go.  maybe the angels lose the wings or something.  if you could see my christmas tree (which, by the way, looked pretty good when i set it up on saturday), you'd know what i mean.  about half the lights have gone out, making my tree look pretty depressing.  not to mention that i'm scared of it now, because daddy thinks it's a fire hazard.  SO, after all the struggle and sweat of putting up the tree, i think i'm going to buy a new one either today or this weekend.  which means that i have to take down the old one, and repeat the putting up process AGAIN!  oh well, i do like christmas and the decorations involved :)

so, i have to tell you all something i discovered just a few minutes ago.  get yourselves out to a grocery store or walmart and pick up a box of caribou coffee chocolate mocha granola bars!!!!  according to the package, they're even a good source of calcium and whole grain!  they are SO yummy!!!! it's like eating a moolatte or something like that.  mmmmmm..........

yesterday was a kind of crappy day.  i just felt blah.  last night, i watched some gilmore girls, cuz they're always good for cheering one up.  however, i fell asleep and don't know how many episodes i missed (i think it was only one).  anyway, i told you that because today, i'm feeling great!  i got some lesson planning done, and i feel somewhat organized at school, plus all my dishes are washed and things are clean at home.  yay!  might also have to do with the fact that i packed a diet coke - with lime!- today :)  anyway, i hope that you all are having a good day and are able to smile inside (or even outside, depending on the situation).  i realized this morning that this is the last weekend that the heffner's will be all spread out to the ends of the earth - we'll all be in pennsylvania before we know it.  that'll be cool.  :)  plus, i got you guys presents, so if that's not incentive to come home, i don't know what is!  hehehe

k, i don't remember what time i started eating lunch, but i'm thinking my half hour is up pretty soon.  love you all and i hope you're having a good day!
